A Discovery campaign answers one question: how often do AI assistants name you in answers like this?

Your next customer is asking an AI assistant what to buy. The brands in its answer are the ones that customer hears about. Discovery, one of the three campaign types in Point11 Analytics, measures how often one of those brands is yours, shows you why, and helps you win more of those conversations. Here is how a campaign works.

What it measures#

Discovery reports three numbers, and they read left to right as a funnel.

  • Brand share is the share of conversations in which the assistant names your brand.
  • Brand win rate is the share of conversations in which your brand is the one the assistant picks. Both numbers count every conversation, so win rate is never higher than share.
  • Revenue influenced is an annual estimate of what your wins are worth, based on the wins Point11 observed and the revenue economics in your business profile. It is an opportunity estimate, not booked sales.

If you buy search ads, the first two will look familiar. Brand share works like impression share, and win rate like click share.

Which assistants it asks#

Discovery asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Grok. You choose which of them to measure when you set up a campaign. Every twin in the campaign asks each assistant you picked, so you can also compare how each assistant treats you.

How digital twins shape the questions#

A digital twin is a modeled customer with a background, preferences, and a reason to buy. Point11 builds yours from your website: it learns your business, identifies your audiences, and creates twins that represent them. A campaign samples from every eligible twin for your site, or from the twins you choose.

You do not write the questions. Each twin opens with its own, in its own words and its own language, and that opening never names your brand or your competitors. What a twin asks depends on where it is in its decision. Some ask for recommendations. Some weigh a kind of solution against other approaches. Others describe their situation without naming a kind of solution at all. Over two or three turns, each twin follows up the way that customer would, from its own goals and constraints.

A twin's opening question is fixed the first time it asks. Each month the same twins ask again with the same opening words, so one month's results compare fairly with the last.

Have physical locations? Add each one when you set up the campaign. Each location gets its own sample of twins, so you can see who wins where.

What you get back#

Point11 reads every conversation and records each brand the assistant named, the one it picked, the main reason for the choice, the topics raised, and the sources behind the answer. That becomes:

  • The overview: brand share, win rate, and revenue influenced, with the reasons you win and the reasons you lose.
  • Every conversation: open any twin to read the full exchange and how it was scored.
  • Breakdowns: results by audience, topic, competitor, assistant, sentiment, and location.
  • Maps: journeys trace each audience to the brand the assistants chose. The brand map sets you against every competitor, with a head-to-head view of why you win or lose. The sources map shows which sources shaped the answers.
  • Trends: the same twins ask again across each month, so you can watch your share and win rate move.

Results carry a margin of error at 95% confidence. When a result needs a tighter read, add twins to the live campaign and the margin narrows.

From results to next actions with Alpha#

Discovery feeds Advisor, the part of Alpha that helps you decide what to work on next. Advisor turns your campaign's evidence into a ranked list of actions, each tied to the conversations, customer needs, and competitors behind it. It refreshes the list weekly or monthly, as you choose, and you can add your team's priorities and constraints to guide it.

Choose Ship with Alpha on an action, and Alpha opens a conversation about it and plans the work with you. Alpha can draft the work and help get it done in Point11 and your connected tools, and you review and confirm any proposed action before it happens. Turn on Autotracking in Advisor settings, and Point11 checks your website each week to see whether the work is live. Once an action is done, later refreshes compare the evidence before and after to judge whether it worked.

Start your first campaign#

In Point11, open New campaign and choose Discovery. Name it, add your website, pick the assistants, and set how many twins will ask them. The Discovery card on the Campaigns page also has a two-minute film, How it works, that walks through a campaign from setup to Alpha.

New to Point11? Create your account with your website. Our 1-click setup learns your business, builds your twins, and runs your first Discovery campaign for you. Your first results should be ready in about 45 minutes. To see Discovery at work first, visit the Discovery page.
